ARCH 1142 -- Model it

The Poster
Bacelona Pavillion: This model took me around 15 hours to finish since this was actually my first time doing this kind of models by using balsa wood, I found it really challenging and frustrating while crafting this balsa wood at first but I got used to it gradually.

The site model of Fisher House: This is the most beautiful model that I made in model it exercise. I actually did one first with white boxboard, however, it looked too bad with no features, I then decided to redo it by using this fabric carpet-like materil. The soft and hairy surface of this material indicates the grass and soil of the landscape.  After finishing this model, I learned that everything needs to be managed and thought well before doing the model otherwise it would be too late to change after all; besides, cutting the fabric and pasting them in the way that I wanted was not an easy job, I spent a lot of time doing this and ended up with finishing this model on time, throughout this process, I had managed the fabric cutting and pasting skills as well.
The Fisher House: I gradually got on well with crafting and pasting balsa wood and box board, I actually found it interesting at this stage, however, the Fisher House still took me around 30 hours because of its details in many places that need to be measured, cutted and pasted with extreme care. My crafting and measuring skills were largely improved after this exercise. I also found that I still need to improve my time management skills and be more creative.
